Single ASEAN Visa In The Making

What is ASEAN?

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations consists of ten countries in Southeast Asia, and promotes intergovernmental cooperation and everything from economic, political, military, to educational integration. And tourism, of course.

However, there is not much unity in the visa process. Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam both have different visa policies.

But now, there are BIG NEWS – Single ASEAN visa are in the works!

With a growing population of over 600 million people, growing numbers of incoming tourists as well as expats, “all-in-one” ASEAN visa that you could get online if you come from an eligible country (list of countries yet to be announced) would be a breakthrough. Imagine filling only 1 form, paying once and being able to visit more countries with one visa.

In February 2017, the Government of Vietnam implemented an electronic visa for foreign travellers so we can not wait to hear more from the project: https://www.aseanvisa.org/ that will bring more people to our beautiful country.
