Are you travelling to Hoi An and wondering where to rent a bicycle to discover the lovely town? Wonder no more, download the application and use the QR code to use public sharing bikes in Hoi An.
The system has launched a beta trial from 2/6/2019 with 100 power-assisted steering bicycles and 11 dropping points within the ancient city. This is the result of a collaboration between Hoi An City People’s Committee and the Health Bridge Canada Organization and German Development Cooperation (GIZ).
The system will run the trial from June to September of 2019 to assess the result and make adjustments to fit the reality. From July, there will be 160 bicycles and 10 dropping points added.
When using the shared bike, you will get the first 30 minutes for free. After that, the system will charge 20.000 VND/hour. The process of your ride will be monitored via the application.
The application is not the only way to borrow a bike. You can buy a daily or monthly paper ticket. The system also accepts the hourly ticket from QIQ supplier, a Singapore-based green mobility sharing company.
The main goal of the public bike sharing system is to make it available to everyone. The users can pick up and leave the bikes at the dropping points. This should encourage people to switch to eco-friendly means of transportation.
Let’s go to the magnificent Ancient Town and protect together the local environment!
