Best Places to Visit in Vietnam In July

While some people might say otherwise, there is not really a bad time to visit Vietnam.

July might be the wettest month of the year in some parts of Vietnam, but it’s still a great month to visit. At this time of the year, the temperature can rise to its highest (almost 40°C in some regions), making it the perfect time for beach lovers. Keep in mind however that Vietnam’s heat might be pretty different from your country’s heat. It can get very humid and almost unbearable sometimes. If you don’t really like very hot temperatures, you may want to choose another period to come to Vietnam. If this doesn’t bother you too much, learn all our recommendations on where to travel in Vietnam in July.

First, some quick weather information regarding the month of July in Vietnam. The weather varies quite significantly by region. In July in the North, it’s the wet rainy season. For safety reasons, we advise you not to go to any mountainous regions like Sapa to trek as the rain makes it impracticable. Hanoi and Halong Bay can still be visited, although they may be prone to storms and heavy rainfalls (in rare occasions). It’s also the rainy season in the South, but you can still enjoy warm and sunny weather. Some of the best places to go are therefore located in Central Vietnam as July is right during the dry season with some of the highest temperatures.
